STATEMENT OF BELIEFS

I. God

There is one and only one living and true God—an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being who is the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and sovereign Ruler of all things. This one God eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—three distinct Persons, yet one undivided in nature, essence, and being.

Gen 1:1, Gen 1:26, Deut. 6:4, Matt 28:19, Romans 8:14-15, 1 John 5:7

II. Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Through His substitutionary death on the cross, He secured redemption for sinners. He was bodily raised from the dead, appeared to His disciples and others, ascended into heaven, where He now reigns at the right hand of the Father as the one Mediator—fully God and fully man—accomplishing reconciliation between God and humanity. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and bring His redemptive work to its final fulfillment.

Gen 1:1, Isaiah 7:14, Mark 1:1, Luke 24:46, John 1:1-18,& 10:30, 1 Cor. 15:1-8, Hebrews 1:1-3, 1 Thess. 4:14-18

III. The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and is fully divine. He inspired the writing of Scripture and illuminated believers to understand its truth. He glorifies Christ, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and calls sinners to the Savior, bringing about regeneration. At salvation, He baptizes believers into the Body of Christ, cultivates Christian character, distributes spiritual gifts for service in the church, comforts and empowers believers for ministry. He seals believers until the day of final redemption and guarantees their growth into the fullness of Christ.

Gen 1:2, Matt 3:16, Luke 12:12, Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13-14, 1 Peter 1:2

IV. The Scriptures

The Holy Bible was written by men who were carried along by divine inspiration from God. It is a flawless and sufficient treasury of divine truth. God Himself is its ultimate Author, salvation is its central purpose, and its content is truth—completely free from error in all that it affirms. All Scripture is entirely true, wholly reliable, and fully trustworthy. From beginning to end, Scripture bears witness to Christ, who is the very center and culmination of God’s redemptive revelation.

2 Timothy 3:14-17, 2 Peter 1:17-21, Psalm 1:1-6, Hebrews 6:19-19, Matt 5:17-18

V. Man

Man is the unique creation of God and made in His image. From the beginning, He created humanity male and female, and this distinction is a good and intentional gift of God. Mankind fell through Satan’s temptation by disobeying their Creator. As a result, all man’s descendants inherit a sinful and corrupted nature, are under divine condemnation and cannot save themselves.

Gen 1:26-28, 2:18-22, & 3:1-24, Romans 1:19-24, Ephesians 2:1-22, Colossians 1:21-22

VI. Salvation

Salvation is God’s gracious work of redeeming the whole person and is freely offered to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. By His shed blood, He secured eternal redemption for every believer. Salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and ultimately glorification. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord.

Gen 3:1-15, John 1:11-14, John 3:16, &10:28-29, Acts 2:2,Romans 8:5-10, 2 Corinthians 5:17-20, Ephesians 2:8-10, Rev 21:1-8 & 22:1-5

VII. The Church

A New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is an autonomous local congregation of baptized believers who are joined together by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the gospel. Each local church is a visible expression of the one universal body of Christ (The Church), sharing in the larger communion of all redeemed people while remaining self-governing under the lordship of Christ. It observes the two ordinances given by Christ (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper) and is ordered according to His Word.

Matt 16:15-19, 1 Cor. 1:2, Ephesians 1:22-23, &2:19-22, Colossians 1:18

VIII. Evangelism and the Missions

Every follower of Christ and every local church is commanded and privileged to make disciples of all nations. The new birth produces a Spirit-given love for others that compels gospel witness, making missions a necessary expression of regenerated life. Christ has ordered the gospel to be preached to all peoples, and every believer is responsible to pursue the lost through faithful proclamation, supported by a life consistent with the gospel.

Matt. 28:19,Luke 24:46–53, John 15:7-8, Acts 1:8 &13:2-3, Romans 10:13-15

IX. Last Things

Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to the earth in power and glory. The dead will be raised, and He will judge all people in perfect righteousness. The unrighteous will be cast into Hell for everlasting punishment, while the righteous, raised and glorified, will receive their reward and dwell forever with the Lord in Heaven.

Matthew 16:27, Mark 8:38, Acts 1:11, Philippians 3:20–21, 1 Thessalonians 4:14–18, Revelation 20:1–22:13

X. The Family

God has established the family as the foundational institution of human society. Though equal in worth and dignity before Him, men and women are given distinct and complementary roles that display the glory of the Triune God. Marriage is the covenant union of one biological man and one biological woman for life. Children, from the moment of conception, are a gift from the Lord; they are called to obey their parents, and parents are commanded to raise them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Gen 1:26-28, &2:15-25, Psalm 139:13-16, &127:3-5, Mark 10:6-12, Romans 1:18-27, Ephesians 5:21-33& 6:1-4
