Missions Education and Missions Involvement are the priority of our congregation. Our Women on Missions (adult ladies), Baptist Men (adult men), Youth on Missions (grades 6-12), and Kid City (age 3-grade 5), are all committed to learning about missions and supporting them. We support Global Missions through CBF and local missions through our ramp building for persons in need throughout our community; the prayer shawl ministry, which provides shawls for every new chemo patient at Southeastern Medical Oncology; United Church Ministry; Habitat for Humanity; Community Soup Kitchen; Community Crisis Center; and Brogden Buddies Back-pack food ministry. One-day missional days lend a helping hand to various persons in our community.
Our signature event is "Warm the World." Held in November, this ministry seeks to provide those in need with blankets, coats, sleeping bags, and warm clothes. Persons are welcomed, receive these items, and enjoy breakfast and fellowship.
Just a few of the coats, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. donated for Warm the World.
